Memory

Base unit comes with 32k of static RAM and 64K of EPROM.
There is also a 512-byte EEPROM for storing configuration data.

Power

Requires 12V DC adapter (supplied). Maximum power of 1 watt.
Will supply pinpad power of 5 V - 8.4 V on pin 1 of the
DB9 connector or input supply voltage on pin 9.

Lan Configuration

The CD45 slaves are configured in a multi-drop configuration. All slaves
have two LAN connectors (RJ45s) for input from the last slave and
output to the next slave. The CD45 is DIP switch configurable. The master
can be connected to a 202T modem or to a PC. The Datapac 3201 poll code is set by the DIP
switches on the master. The DIP switches on the slaves control the
interface speed between the pinpad and cash register as well as the
slave address.
